Most volunteers want to help—they just don’t always feel confident teaching. Your role is to equip, encourage, and support them so they can succeed.

Provide one main truth for the lesson. Volunteers teach better when they know the takeaway they’re aiming for.

Offer outlines, discussion questions, and key illustrations. Preparation shouldn’t feel overwhelming.
4. Encourage Their Voice
They don’t need to teach like you. Authenticity connects more than perfection.
5. Offer Feedback and Support
Follow up with encouragement and gentle coaching. Growth happens best in a safe environment.
